Apart from law lecture notes at the University of Western Australia, almost all the papers relate to Snedden's political career. They include extensive material on the Liberal Party, elections, electorate matters, portfolio matters, his period as Leader of the Opposition, overseas trips and parliamentary affairs. There are large groups of subject files on constitutional matters, defence, economic policy, minerals and energy, foreign investment and legal matters. Among the correspondents are Malcolm Fraser, Tony Street and Ivor Greenwood.
